Emergency Exits
I found an old essay I wrote — but it’s still so close to home: Whenever I enter a room I check for emergency exits, escape routes, murderous men and glass objects. In the event of what I assume to be an inevitable disaster or assault, I’ll either know instinctively where to run, who to run from or will just end up breaking the nearest glass object and using it as a crooked dagger....
